Google Geotagger

With the dawn of the Digital Age, it became an issue to be found in the map applications of Google, Microsoft (Bing), etc. Unfortunately, the own digital geo-position often is not known, forcing companies to use with estimates instead.

Google offers an API call, enabling the exact positioning based on their maps. As they usually also offer rather detailed satellite images, this also works for places, where street and map data is not (yet) available.

(Following a free registration) the API call is provided by Google free of charge. In return, we provide you the function here also for free. But we also do not imply any liability either, as we just make a Google API call available to you. As the API has a limit of requests per timeframe, we kindly ask you, to set up the function on your own webservers for mass requests - the source code of the framed page (iFrame) contains related information.
